Every week we share authentic Mexican music — songs that carry memories, culture, and corazón.
Music has always been part of our story.
After immigrating to the United States, Jaime’s parents opened a Latin record store in Downtown Los Angeles. Between stacks of vinyl and cassette tapes, a lifelong connection to Mexican music was born.
Today we continue sharing that love through weekly music features celebrating the artists, traditions, and rhythms that keep our cultura alive.
Music is more than sound — it is memory.
A mariachi trumpet can bring back a family gathering. A bolero can remind us of our parents’ love stories. A ranchera can transport us home in an instant.
At Muertolandia, we believe music preserves culture the same way folk art does.
A few pieces inspiring us right now — where music, memory, and Mexican folk art come together.
The same spirit that lives in Mexican music lives in the folk art we share at Muertolandia.
Mariachis, musicians, and the rhythms of Mexico appear again and again in the handmade pieces created by artisans across the country.
Music inspires the art. Art keeps the music alive.
Follow along each week as we celebrate the songs, artists, and stories that keep our cultura alive.
