Handmade Disclaimer

Please understand that many of our Products are individually handmade, they are one of a kind creations and not factory manufactured. As a result, products will have subtle variations from one piece to the next.

The beauty of imperfections:

  • Based on the creative nature of our products, each product looks slightly different than the next.
  • Handmade items have natural and unique imperfections and blemishes. 
  • Our handmade items are made by skilled artisans, utilizing traditional techniques that have often been passed down from previous generations. All handmade items are created with love and care.
  • Any item you purchase is one-of-a-kind, individually unique, and has it's own style of craftsmanship, often created in the artisans at home workshop.

Returns
Many of our items are unique and handmade (therefore, all items are slightly different) with special attention to detail by artisans we work closely with in Mexico. Everything on our website is curated to reflect the rich cultural beauty of the Mexican heritage.  

Should you choose to return an unused product in sellable condition, we will happily refund the original credit card if returned to Customer Service within 30 days of ship date. Unfortunately, we cannot honor returns received more than 30 days from the order shipment date.

Any item not in its original, new condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error may be granted a partial refund or store credit, at our discretion, if applicable. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in new, sellable condition. It must also be in the original packaging.

Gift cards are non-returnable items.

All sale and clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase from our website, Muertolandia.com.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at webmuerto@muertolandia.com.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email within 3 days of delivery date to webmuerto@muertolandia.com. Please include photos of damaged/defective items, including photos of shipping box and materials. Once we confirm, you will need to send your item back to us at: 20929 Ventura Blvd #47215, Woodland Hills CA 91364, United States.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and the buyer will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged packages or items. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
