The Music

Music plays an important role in Mexico's rich cultural history and is also very near and dear to our hearts here at Muertolandia.

After immigrating to the United States, Jaime's parents opened a Latin record store in Downtown Los Angeles. He grew up in this store and developed a connection to the music from a young age. 

We work closely with the Mexican Music Archive to share with you timeless, authentic Mexican music.

Each week in our emails and on social media, we feature traditional Mexican music to help preserve and further promote the rich and vibrant heritage of the Mexican culture.

Some songs may bring back loving memories from days spent with your family and friends. Other songs may be new for you, and we hope you might discover a new favorite.
